Merrill and Doug Wedding - Auburn, CA

The oldest church in Placer County, CA, Pioneer Methodist, was the wonderful setting for Merrill and Doug's beautiful wedding.  Many friends and family were there to witness the exchange of vows.  Weather can be iffy this time of year but it was a gorgeous day and we shot photos inside with the stained glass windows and outside on the manicured grounds.  The reception was held at the awesome Blue Goose in Loomis, CA.  The food was catered by Back Texas Forty BBQ.  Lots of little kiddos to take photos of, great music, dancing, and toasts, as love was in the air.  My kind of fun!

Louis Valentine Johnson - Portrait Session

Composer and classical guitarist Louis Valentine Johnson is coming out with an updated website and soon a new cd.   I was happy to do a photo session with Lou to supply him with images he may use.  Northstar Mine Powerhouse in Grass Valley, CA provided the "Old World" look that he was wanting.  Very much enjoyed the session and music Lou played while I was shooting.  Link to his website which will soon have a different look.

Sara and Mike Portrait Session - Grass Valley, CA

Sara has so many fond memories of her grandparents home that she and Mike chose to have their portraits taken there.  I love shooting at new places and what a great location it was!  The charm, country setting of the old home, and many natural features of the site made it ideal for photos.  Sara and my daughter, Sonya, have been dancing together for many years but it was my first opportunity to meet Mike.  Sara and Mike met at a high school football game 7 years ago and the chemistry was set in motion. They are a perfect couple and it was wonderful to play around with them to get some creative photos, the kind Sara was dying to get.  I sure had a blast taking them!
