Jula's best friend, Annie, came along for some pics, too.

Thank you for visiting! I am an award winning destination wedding photographer based in the Sierra foothills just east of Sacramento, in Grass Valley, CA, and serving all of Northern California and in the winter I spend as much time as possible photographing weddings in sunny, romantic Mexico.

Family Portrait Fun
Wednesday I took 4 of my 5 girls, out on fall break, on a fun photo shoot. Kayla had to work. Jula's friend, Annie came along for some shots, too. Man, no fun at first,... these girls have developed such diverse opinions on how to model. No respect for the poor photographer, everyone wanted photos done their way, and right now. Eventually order was restored, ... somewhat, and we actully had some fun, and some good pics. My theory, anytime you're having fun then you're going to get some great photos. Then it was taco time. Life is good! Keeps me on my toes.

Mazatlan Destination Wedding - Off Time
Mazatlan is a wonderful, romantic, city in which to get married. The culture, the people, the weather, the beautiful sunsets all come together to make it a popular attraction for destination weddings, especially in the winter. When I'm in Mexico to photograph a wedding I love to also take advantage of the many photo opportunities presented around me during my off-time. Here are a few "off-time" photos. To see the actual destination weddings please see my blog postings earlier this year (last winter).

Janelle and William's Wedding
Last Saturday Janelle and William were married in Auburn, CA at the beautiful Victoria Hill Gardens. I was honored to share their special day as their photographer, along with my talented assistant, Sorena, who took some of the photos previewed below.
Both the ceremony and reception were held outdoors on a very warm autumn day and the decorations, cake, and flowers were beautiful. The brides dressing room upstairs in the old victorian home was gorgeous and overlooked the historic Placer County Courthouse where I photographed their engagment session. The DJ was the popular Bobby G. Productions who was voted Best of Nevada County this year in The Union's poll, and as usual did a fantastic job!
Janelle looked so lovely as her dad gave her away and her uncle performed the ceremony, and naturally there was a bit of joyous emotion there. The hosts at Victoria Hill Gardens were so nice, the food was delicious, the toasts were moving, the music was hopping and everyone had a great time celebrating Janelle and Williams marriage. We wish them all the very best!
Below are a few of the many photos that we took and ALL the photos will be available for viewing online at http://www.pictage.com/ in about 10 days once the processing is completed.
