Karey and Larry Wedding

Karey and Larry were married last Saturday before family and friends in the wonderful, old United Methodist Church in Nevada City, CA by the Reverend Patricia Spooner. Karey and her bridesmaids got dressed at a friends beautiful remodeled Victorian home nearby where my assistant, Sorena Duran, and I met with them to begin taking photos. Sorena, a Sacramento City College photography student, worked with me for the first time, as a class assignment, and did a wonderful job. The first seven photos on this post below were taken by her. I hope to work with her more in the future.
Larry picked up his bride from the church in his completely rebuilt 80's Ford Bronco and it provided a few nice photo ops as well.
The reception venue was the VFW Hall in Nevada City and Bobby G. Productions did a great job as the DJ. Everyone was definitely having a good time and bits and pieces of the wedding cake ended up on more faces than just the bride and grooms! Karey and Larry are super nice couple and I wish them all the best!

Hans, Maria, and Milo

A few weeks ago my table tennis buddy, Hans, wanted to show off his grandson, Milo, to me and get a few photos of the little tyke. Hans' daughter, Maria, brought him to the club in time to take some shots before we started playing. The sun was getting ready to set which made for some beautiful photos. Milo wasn't too happy when he woke up but after a while he was liking life again. I don't like getting woke up from a nap either! Hans was under pressure to shave his beard but wouldn't do it until after the photo shoot. He's now clean shaven!

Karey and Larry Engagement

Talk about cutting it close, ..on Sunday I did an engagement session with Karey and Larry and they are getting married this coming Saturday in Nevada City, Ca.! They are a very nice couple and I'm looking forward to photographing their wedding day celebrations in our beautiful Nevada County in the heart of the gold country. I truly enjoy traveling all over to weddings but it will be nice to shoot my first wedding this year that is only a few miles from home.
We had a great session at Pioneer Park resulting in some awesome photos. More to come on Saturday!
