Friday evening Jula, my middle daughter, played "Miss Fits" in her 7th grade drama class play, The Paper Bag Bandit. It was a very funny and entertaining play set in the wild west, where good wins out over evil. She did an awesome job! Here are a few of the photos.

Dora's Birthday
Wow, I've been so busy that I haven't had time to post any personal photos on my blog! My youngest daughter, Dora, had her 9th birthday earlier this month and she baked her own cake with her mom's help, then decorated it, and we had a pizza, cake, and ice cream celebration with her sisters She had great fun and it was a nice family get together. Here's a few of the photos. My daughter, Jula, took the photo with me in it. Jula took my Photography Fun Club class at her school last year and is really having fun taking photos.

Alisha and Anthony's Wedding
As I awoke on Sunday it was raining. The late season snow started falling heavily around 8 a.m. and by the time it stopped an hour and a half later we had almost 3 inches. I was thinking there was no way that Alisha and Anthony's afternoon wedding could be held outside as planned. Late morning as I drove west along I-80 to Whitney Oaks Golf Clubhouse in Rocklin, CA, the beautiful venue where the ceremony was to take place, I saw a few blue patches of sky through the clouds. By the time I arrived, 30 minutes later, it was partly cloudy and the sun was pouring through the openings. The decision had been made to proceed with the outdoor ceremony, and what a beautiful ceremony it was. The rain tried one last time, for about 10 minutes, to mess things up, just before the ceremony was to start, but to no avail. The chairs were wiped off and everything was perfect! The storm clouds to the east made dramatic backdrops for some of the photos. Also, lots of energetic little kiddos on the dance floor are always fun to shoot. Joe Kalamaras of SJ's Disc Jockey did an outstanding job, as usual, coordinating the flow of the reception and providing rockin' tunes! Always enjoyable seeing beautiful couples so much in love! Check out a few selected photos below. All the photos will be online through my association with Pictage in about 10 days through a link from my website at http://www.larryscottphotography.com/.

Kierstyn and Kyle Engagement
It was a bit breezy last Sat when I got together with Kierstyn and Kyle at beautiful Pioneer Park in Nevada City for their engagement shoot and rain was forecast for later in the day. The rain stayed away and the breeze came in handy as we borrowed a dragon kite from a boy to take a few shots. Almost got it in the air, but not quite.
I had a lot of fun with Kierstyn and Kyle and they got in the flow of the shoot very quickly and were willing to try all my suggestions and came up with some of their own. Looking foward to shooting their wedding at the Slocom House in Fair Oaks in June. It's always great to do an engagement shoot to get to know each other before the wedding.

Diana and Joe's Wedding
Last Saturday Diana and Joe were married at the LDS Temple in Sacramento and then met with their families and many friends for a beautiful ring ceremony and reception at the Lake Natomas Inn in Folsom, CA., which I had the privledge to photograph. After almost a week of rain the sun was shining in all its glory for the ceremony. Lots of kiddos to photograph which is always fun for me, and I enjoyed witnessing Diana and Joe's deep affection for each other. Diana's all encompassing and emotional toast was a joy to hear. The DJ, Sean Kennedy from The Entertainment Team, did a super job and had some hoppin' tunes. Young and young at heart had a great time dancing!
Here are a few of the photos which I selected for my blog, the rest will be posted online through my association with Pictage in about a week to 10 days. Enjoy!
