Diana and Joe Engagement

On Saturday I had the pleasure of meeting Diana and Joe in Nevada City to do an engagement session in and around beautiful Pioneer Park and some spectacular fall colors. While we were shooting on Nevada St (famous for fall colors) there must have been 4 or 5 other photographers there as well. Diana and Joe are a wonderful couple with a lot of chemistry and are getting married next year at the Lake Natomas Inn in Folsom, CA. Joe has done wedding photography, too, and I enjoyed our conversations about photography. He is a Nikon user while I shoot with Canons, both great camera systems.
It's always fun following the light and the ever changing scenery to get great shots. Here are a few of the photos that resulted.

Kirsty and Sarah

On Sunday I met up with Kirsty and Sarah to shoot senior portraits in beautiful Nevada County. We started shooting in Nevada City at Pioneer Park with all the great trees and boulders and then found the gorgeous fall colors nearby, and had fun throwing leaves into the shots. We found more color on Broad St then went downtown for a few more shots on and about some of the old mining equipment. To get some nice photos with a long brick wall we stopped in Grass Valley by The Owl restaraunt. The girls then changed and we headed to Purdon Crossing on the south fork of the Yuba River. We caught the last light there as the sun sets so early in the canyon. I had a blast shooting the girls, ..they were awesome and didn't want the session to end. Here are a few of the tons of photos taken.
