Anita and Barry Engagement

Last Friday I met Anita and Barry who will be getting married at the Opera House in Vacaville in November. Looking forward to seeing the venue, ..the photos on the web are gorgeous. We got together for their engagement session at the beautiful and historic Placer County Courthouse in Auburn, CA. They are a friendly and classy couple with a great sense of humor and the chemistry between them is apparent. I enjoyed chatting with them almost as much as shooting the photos. The shoot took place late in the afternoon to take advantage of the warmer, filtered light and I got some great shots as they got into the flow very quickly and their affection for each other took over. Claire and Justin Wedding

Claire and Justine took their wedding vows before family and friends last Saturday in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Trolley Junction/Northern Queen Inn in Nevada City. The day was bright and warm as the ceremony was held on a grassy lawn adjacent to a gorgeous waterfall and creek. Afterwards everyone moved inside the Trolly Junction and Kris Murphy did a great job organizing the reception, .. the food was delicious and the drinks were flowing. Mike Askew was the DJ and guitar player and he kept everyone lively and hopping. Artist Barry Harding showed up to draw caricatures of all the guests that wanted one. What a neat idea that was!
Claire and Justin are such a wonderful couple and their cute little daughter, Morgan, looked precious in her dress. I enjoyed capturing many special moments of their wedding day celebrations for them. Sonya - Sweet Sixteen

Sonya, my beautiful daughter #2, who loves to model for me, turned sweet sixteen last Sunday. She invited a bunch of her super nice girlfriends over to get all dolled up and go out for a great dinner. They chose mexican food at Maria's in Grass Valley, wonderful food there. Six of them were able to come: Chelsea, Kirsty, Sarah, Sara, Kellee, and Bre. Including 2 of my other daughters, who were home at the time, I was outnumbered 9 to 1, ... the only testosterone in the whole house! Brushes and dryers and curlers and high heels were flying fast and furious. They all looked gorgeous when it was all said and done. Take a look for yourself, I'm posting a few below, and the rest I'll give to them on a CD. I had a great time photographing these delightful and lovely young women.

Claire and Justin - Trolley Junction

Little Morgan was loving the cool grassy area next to the stream and waterfall where her parents will be married on Saturday. Everyday's a new adventure for her. I met Claire, Justin and Morgan at Trolley Junction in Nevada City last Thursday to check out sun angles and photo locations for the group shots as well as the bride/groom photos. A beautiful venue with many great spots for photos. Very much looking forward to photographing their wedding. A couple of months ago I shot their engagement photos at Empire Mine State Park in Grass Valley. They really looked fantastic in those photos. You can check them out on one of my earlier blogs.
